Season 2010/2011 Programme
These are exciting times for 'Playgoers' as the club approaches its centenary during 2011/12. For 2010/11 the club continues to offer a wide variety of plays, to suit all tastes, in the form of rehearsed readings, offering many opportunities for acting, directing or helping backstage. A warm welcome awaits existing members and newcomers, who, in addition to the play-readings, may also enjoy numerous social events, talks and theatre outings. Unless otherwise stated, all Tuesday meetings will take place at Newman Hall, Westbury-on-Trym, 7.20 for 7.30 pm.
28th September, Tuesday
A QUESTION OF ATTRIBUTION by Alan Bennett.
Directed by Jane Meadowcroft
Sir Anthony Blunt, Surveyor of the Queen’s Pictures, tries to solve the riddle of an enigmatic painting and is, himself, the subject of a more official investigation.

The pals are the men from the local volunteer Battalion, who march off high-spiritedly to the Great War. Their experiences in the trenches are contrasted with the lives of the womenfolk left behind – at times funny, at times sad!
